A Reminder that Palestine is not the only Genocide in the World today....

Our Palestine Brothers and Sisters aren't the only ones who strive through their days facing continual catastrophic devastation as their way of life was acutely taken from them.

Our Rohingya brothers and sisters in Myanmar are enduring a harrowing genocide, fighting desperately for recognition of their citizenship and basic human rights. The military has been ordered to "shoot all you see and all you hear" among the Rohingya Muslims, an appalling directive aimed at denying their humanity and promoting ethnic cleansing. This systematic extermination is a dire human rights crisis. Immediate international intervention is imperative to halt the violence, ensure their protection, and restore their rights and dignity. The world cannot stand by in silence.

UN Passes Ceasefire Resolution

After more than five months of Israel’s war on Gaza, and at least three vetoed draft resolutions for a ceasefire (by the US), the United Nations finally passed a “temporary ceasefire” resolution.

The UN Security Council passed the resolution tabled by its 10 non-permanent members: Algeria, Ecuador, Guyana, Japan, Marta, Mozambique, Republic of Korea, Sierra Leone, Slovenia, and Switzerland. It was passed by four other permanent members, but the U.S. abstained.

The White House has made it clear, however, that its abstention from the vote does not represent a change in policy. Meanwhile, Israel has predictably chosen to ignore the resolution. Will there finally be a consequence for it doing so? Time will tell.
