This was Mohamed Boutrid’s response to Ashley’s vocal support for the work of TAF (a few years back):
“I echo this sister’s testimony and commend brother Mauri’ for his support of all political prisoners regardless of who they were. His previous ‘Peace through Justice Foundation’ was instrumental in exposing the injustices of many political prisoners.
“One in particular was my Algerian brother Anwar Haddam, who was freely elected to the Algerian Parliament in the early nineties and ended up incarcerated unjustly for years in America’s jails.
“Mauri’ was a breath of fresh air for Anwar’s family and us who were in full support of brother Anwar and his family. Through his foundation and contacts we gained access to our brother and improved his incarceration conditions and exposed the injustices he endured. I support his work and also donate to the Afia Foundation for the great humanitarian work it provides to those who have no other support.”

We The Aafia Foundation are proud to say that we've made progress in our efforts in amplifying the attention upon many cases and express our solidarity with many victims like Dr. Aafia and Imam Jamil Alhamdulillah. However, there's still so much to be done and we value all the support we can receive as we continue in our advocacy. We thank those who have continually stayed with us through our efforts and of course we welcome our new members!
